one chapter opens

it was suppose to be a sad opening.. hmmm... but amazingly am not sad..
i did wrong things, i gotta accept it..

falling in love with a person "Z" that am not suppose to fall in love with..
falling for another person "R" that i know i have no future with...

am back to the former after the latter dissapoint me...

if you (the former) ever come to know that there were points where i betrayed you, am really sorry.
if you (the latter) ever come to think that i were to be betrayed, am sorry for you.

R once said to me "if you ever need anything, i'll be there"
Z once said to me "you'll never need anything, i'll be there"...

my dear darling, if ever we are not meant for each other, i never regret the love we had. if ever we are meant to be together, i'll never trade it with anything else...

qabil khushry qabil igam

i've watched the movie twice, just after 3 days of its opening show...
after both times, am still speechless of how to rate the movie. it's just plain different from any other malay movie, different from any other slapstick malay movie, different in all aspects - scriptwriting, acting, storyboard & technical approach. acting was obviously good with line of casts include erra fazira, rusdi ramli, hans isaac, ziana zain, fauziah nawi, dato' rahim razali, hisham ahmad tajuddin, maimun mutalib & izi yahya also with the help of another line of reputable artiste as supporting leads.. promotion was very clever in hiding the menyayat hati scenes. to all i told tht it was a dramatic movie and the first question was "bukan cerita kelakar ke?"... the first hour, it makes you laugh and laugh and laugh til u can lost your voice and the second hour it makes you obviously very quiet if not cry...

i had trouble commenting or even discussing the movie after that coz it's just very different and "disturbing".. my darling cuz suggested that i write about the story / synopsis, so here goes......

started with mak tijah delivered twins and her husband, pak mail named them qabil khushry (hans isaac) and qabil igam (rusdi ramli). both were different in all ways but they are inseparable. when they were in higher secondary school, they met rani (ziana zain) and karisma (erra fazira). their love story begins.. khushry with rani & igam with karisma..

wedding plans started, double engagements, double nikah, double kenduri & double bersanding.. (at this point i already suspected that all the good news and happy ending could not be possibly real, and i am right) ((am always right, am i... hahahhah))...

at the nikah night, igam was caught by the police for having possesion of drugs and kept under remand. to avoid humiliation by the orang kampong, khushry and rani continue their nikah and bersanding with tears.. igam, was then found guilty and sentenced to 3 years jailed. karisma waited.. after 3 years, igam were released and their wedding were again planned...

a few wks / days before the wedding, igam was diagnosed of HIV positive due to the sharing of drugs needle.. nightmares begin.. with only khushry and rani who knows about the disease, igam break up the engagement and cancelled the wedding. again to avoid humiliation by the orang kampong, pak saat and cik som (karisma's parents) excepted asrul's (izi yahya) proposal. asrul whose already married, bad tempered, wife-abuser, has been eyeing karisma since igam's days in jail. another teary wedding took place...

the bad luck didnt stop there...

when igam tried to safe rani for being raped, he was mistakenly accused as the perpetrator and was almost killed by khushry.. only when rani explained the truth, the brothers love rekindled. khushry vowed that he'll die for igam..

karisma who is still very much in love with igam, has been constantly abused by the husband, one day ran to igam's house to plead her life to be accepted by igam, instead igam pushed her away..

one day, rani told karisma about why igam has turned to be the monster that he is..

meanwhile, igam who turn back to drugs, accidently killed his father when he was fighting over some money. his mother, after loosing the husband, told igam that he is not to come back again and that he is no more the son..

khushry who then told the mother the truth went to search for his brother but to no avail..

igam, when he was running away, found a rumah buruk as a shelter. came karisma searching for the love of her life. then came asrul with much anger, with a parang to claim his wife. during the fight, igam got the parang, with intention to kill asrul, he accidently stabbed karisma.. karisma died, happily in the arms of her lover.

igam, again running from the authority were finally found by the police.. to get him to surrender, the police got khushry to pujuk igam. after telling igam that their mother has accepted him back, he agreed to surrender.. on the way out of the shelter, asrul took a police's pistol and gunned down igam..

khushry, who'd die for igam, tried to kill asrul but were gunned down by the police.......
