kuantan trip

am suppose to write this up a month ago.. but too lazy, no energy to remember what have i done in kuantan.. now i think i got the mood..

went to kuantan on feb 23 - 25, 2007. went to recce a kampong to do klpac's roadshow of 'anak bulan di kampong wa' hassan' play. went with zam, shah & elly. we left quite late and we reach just after midnite on friday. stayed in megaview hotel, okla the hotel. our room's view is half of sungai pahang and kuantan town.

the next day, shah called a friend whom he knew from internet a long long time ago who is staying in kuantan. we were very lucky that this guy, pok (his internet avatar), is superbly helpful. on saturday we went around beserah & cherating to view some kampong houses. while waiting for pok to finish work, we lepak at near the beach. after some plans and changes of plans, we went back to the hotel to rest. at night again we went to kampong sungai karang darat, beserah to meet pok's friend's father who is the bilal in the kampong. a very lucky coincidence the bilal's nephew is the ketua kampong. so i made the request call and set a meeting the next day.

that night we had dinner at a seafood restaurant recommended by pok (this is why i have to update my blog immediately after an incident or event or something happened, coz for the life of me, i couldn't remember where this place is). food was really good.

then back to hotel.

the next day, all of us planned to go mandi laut early in the morning, but frankly dah sedap tido, in the aircond room, none of us manage to get up until it was too late. met encik zaim, the ketua kampong, also a remarkable helpful man. he's over excitement about our intention to bring the play to kampong just made my heart drop for him. he brought us around the kampong, introduced us to some villagers, show us around places that only local residents know, brought us makan mee chalung (pahang's traditional meal). he invited us to come again with offers to be our tour guide. wonderful guy.

anyway, here come the fun part.. going there with people who you wanna spend your holiday with was tremendously fun. all four of us did something that make a fool of ourselves. started with shah - coughed out a jelly (from lai-chi-kang) and the green jelly landed on his cheek and became a green mole. elly - was afraid of a kumbang which flew across her head, jumped up from her seat and landed on her husband's lap at the tok bilal's house. zam - because he talks a lot so a lot of nonsense come out from him e.g. serappp, ikan bayam, etc. me - did a skating stunt with my slippers at teluk chempedak.

hmmm, it's not funny if you jus read it, but it hell of laughters from us. we laughed and laughed and laughed until we reach kl...
